BE A VOICE FOR WILDLIFE
STANDING TOGETHER FOR A BETTER WORLD
What Inspires Us to Do This?
Wild animals such as bears, mountain lions, coyotes, wolves, foxes and bobcats experience immense pressure from trophy hunting, trapping, bounty hunting and killing contests. In Utah and surrounding states, thousands of these animals are relentlessly hunted and killed every year. State wildlife management typically favors special interest groups such as trophy hunters, trappers, and ranchers when drafting management policy, even though the majority of Utah citizens oppose the cruel practices and want to see these animals protected.   Â
We are here to change that.
Our goal is to inspire more compassionate respect for wildlife and their vital roles within a healthy ecosystem, and to see the senseless, tragic slaughter of wildlife come to an end. We are an all-volunteer group, that is passionate about animals and firmly believe in their right to live free from persecution and suffering. We exist to advocate on their behalf, as well as to educate the public about wild animals and ways to peacefully coexist.

We protect wildlife for many reasons. They are a source of inspiration, nurture a sense of wonder, and are integral to the balance of nature. In our work, VOW focuses on saving some of the most ecologically important, yet persecuted species in the wild.  Ultimately, by protecting these animals, we help preserve the integrity of our ecosystems and the beautiful, vulnerable, and irreplaceable wildlife we share a home with.
